| Bio: | THIS IS NO LONGER BEING USED AS AN RP JOURNAL. This is my personal journal. :P Ignore any apps lying around here. Name: Zack Fair Nickname: The Puppy Age: 23 DOB: January 1st (no canon birthdate give to my knowledge) Fandom they are from: FF7 Crisis Core PB:I'm using images of Zack from Crisis Core and Advent Children mainly. Link to information about the fandom and character(wikipedia links are great): http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/ At what point in canon is your character being brought in? I'm bringing him in at the moment he charges the Shin-Ra troops in the canyon, which is the point right before his death. Background: From the beginning, Zack wanted to be a hero. He joined the SOLDIER program with that in mind, but for a while he wondered if the company had forgotten about him. It wasn't until later that he found out that there had been a mass desertion in the ranks of SOLDIER. With a vote of confidence from his mentor and first-class SOLDIER Angeal, Zack was put on the assignment with his mentor to find the missing first-class SOLDIER Genesis. It was while he was in Wutai on his first mission on the assignment that Angeal went missing. Initially disbelieving that Angeal could betray Shin-Ra, and later determined to talk to him until he agreed to come back, Zack joined first Tseng, then Sephiroth in the quest to find out the whereabouts of Genesis and Angeal while getting to the bottom of Genesis's plans and the reasons the first-class SOLDIERs had suddenly AWOL. As Zack learned more about their reasons and about what the company he worked for was really capable of, he began to question for the first time if it was really the right career for him. During his missions, Zack continued to search for Angeal, hoping all the while to get answers and convince the other man to come back. While working toward this goal, Zack made friends with Sephiroth, then the Turk Cissnei, made the slightly exasperating acquaintance with a young Yuffie, and nearly fell on top of the girl he came to love: Aerith. Another friend that Zack made more quickly than any of the others was Cloud, and it was perhaps because of how close he became to the younger man that Zack was able to make it as far as he did when he lost his mentor forever, and then later lost his friend Sephiroth to the same madness that had prompted Genesis to his path of destruction. After being seriously wounded in their battle with Seph, Cloud and Zack were taken by Hojo as test subjects. They were held prisoner for four years before Zack managed to orchestrate their escape. Cloud was suffering badly from mako poisoning, but Zack still managed to get the younger man almost to Midgar before they were surrounded by Shin-Ra infantryman. It was just before moving to defend his friend that our Zack drops out of canon and finds himself baffled and trapped in a place he has never even heard of before. Personality: Zack is a bundle of energy and high spirits. Like anyone, he has his moments when events in his life bring him low, but he has the sort of personality that allows him to mourn, then encourages him to move on. He has a strong sense of fairness, and because of it he doesn't want to give up. Giving up would mean letting people down, and Zack simply can't allow that. He's an extremely loyal friend, and it takes more than anyone has managed thus far to make him give up on someone. If he thinks there might be even the slightest chance he can save a friend, he will keep fighting to his very last breath. On the minus side of his personality, Zack can be a bit obnoxious with his optimism and enjoyment of jokes. He's got a great sense of humor, and he has no problem with letting everyone know it. Because of his since of fairness, Zack has no qualms about getting on someone's face and telling them that they're wrong. He's willing to listen, though, and under most circumstances he's willing to listen to another person's reasoning for their actions. Appearance: Zack his spiky black hair that falls to just past his shoulders. He keeps it swept back from his face with only a single spike allowed to escape and hang into his face. Thanks to the mako he has been exposed to, Zack's blue eyes always have a faint glow to them, and when he's angry they have a tendency of flaring to a slightly brighter glow than usual before fading back to normal. Like all in SOLDIER, Zack is relatively lean and well muscled. Zack's attire is that of a first-class SOLDIER. He wears a dark grey sleeveless turtleneck, dark navy loose-fitting pants, boots, and standard SOLDIER armor. Due again to his energetic personality, Zack gives a lot of exaggerated reactions and pulls a lot of faces. When he walks, he usually has his chin up and will nod or wave to anyone he sees. Likes: the thought of being a hero, squats, keeping in shape, coffee in the evening, orange juice in the morning Dislikes: liars, betrayal, sprouts, living in a small town, Hojo, people who don't strive to reach their dreams What room number is on their key? Room 455 Sample Journal Entry (1st person)(At least 200 words): Well, what d'you know. It looks like I've gotten myself into another new mess, huh? As if I needed anything else keeping me from reaching Midgar. I'm not sure how all of this happened, but I hope Cloud is alright. Chances are pretty slim if those infantryman get ahold of him, but I'm going to stick to hoping that they've just put him up somewhere. Aerith will have to wait for me a bit longer while I rescue him, but... I think she will. Man, I can't believe everything that's happened lately. It's a lot to take in, you know? I'm not sure how things are going to turn out from now on, but you can bet that I'm going to find a way to make things work out. I'm going to be a hero, after all! Once I have my way, all of Midgar is going to know the name of Zack Fair! Maybe they'll even put up a statue of me? That'd be sort of awesome. Yeah, yeah. That's a pipe dream, I know. Wish Kunsel or Cloud was around. They'd get a good laugh out of it. Speaking of laughs, I wonder what this place is really like? I haven't gotten to look around much, but from the little I've seen it's fairly interesting. So far it seems like the only really bad thing about the place is that you just... can't leave. WHICH SUCKS. What sort of screwed up people would trap innocent people like this? I swear... this is almost as bad as being captured by Hojo again. I guess it's nice that I have my own room here, though. But... man! I need to do something before I go crazy! That's it -- I've decided something. Starting today, I'm going to be the guy who's going to find a way home within the week! Mark my words... Zack Fair is going to show everyone just what a first-class SOLDIER is capable of! Sample Roleplay (3rd person)(At least 300 words): Zack lifted an eyebrow and blinked up at the sky. After a moment, he looked down at his hands and stared, at a loss for why they no longer held the buster sword. The last thing he remembered, he had been about to swing the sword. He had known he would die, but he had been ready to take everyone else out with him to keep his friend safe. Now, though... the sword was on his back again, held in place by the strong magnet attached to his SOLDIER-issue harness. "Weird..." Zack muttered, scratching the back of his head before tilting it to one side. "I don't... remember that fight ending." More than a little disturbed now, Zack shook his head to clear it of the haziness that had taken over with his confusion. He needed to focus! Nodding to himself, Zack quickly checked himself over, even twisting his head as far as he could to see what he could of his back. Right. So no bullet wounds that he could see or feel. That was really weird. There had been far too many troops for him to get away without a scratch. Despite what he'd like to believe, Zack really wasn't a good enough fighter to pull that off even with the use of all of his materia. Zack rubbed the back of his head again, considering the possibilities. One particular unnerving one was that maybe, just maybe, he had never managed to escape Hojo's lab with Cloud. Everything had seemed so real, but who knew what else had seemed real over the past four years. Most of his memories of that time were a blue, which he was glad for. There were things that had happened in that lab that Zack never wanted to think about again. He sighed with that thought and dug into his pocket until his hand closed around his cell phone. It was sort of pointless if this was a dream, but he could at least try to call someone. He hadn't tried before out of fear that Shin-Ra would be able to pinpoint his location more easily, but did he really have anything to loose now? Zack flipped the phone open and scrolled through his messages out of habit, ignoring Yuffie's spam as he searched for anything new. Once that was finished, he flipped to the main screen and scrolled through his contacts until Kunsel's name was highlighted. Out of everyone who was still with Shin-Ra, he trusted him the most. "C'mon, work," Zack muttered, putting the phone to his ear after dialing the number. After only two rings, the phone clicked off. Not dissuaded, Zack punched in Aerith's number next with similar results. Tseng didn't answer, Cloud didn't answer (though Zack hadn't expected him to), and even Sephiroth didn't answer (something Zack was a little relieved about -- he would have freaked out if he heard the other first-class SOLDIER's voice on the other end of the line. | |||||||||
